If you are a Software Engineer or a Business Analyst and you
are looking forward to move to Australia after obtaining Permanent Residency
there and you need help with your application, you can contact me and I will
provide you with some consulting. I am myself working as a Software Engineer
Team lead in Sydney and can guide you through the process of applying for
Australian PR. With this post, all those who want to do all the stuff by
themselves, without hiring any agent will surely get benefit. As the agent fee
is a lot, 1.5 lakh rupees and in Australia they charge 3000 AUD. If you are
determined to save this money then do what I ask you and with below tips from
my side, you will surely be able to do everything by yourself.
Some tips:
- You are what you are, don’t consider yourself super human. Never even think of forging any document. Australia is not the place for scammers.
- Don’t be impatient. The process is long. There is no shortcut. Depending on your points, it may take from 3 months to 1 year in obtaining your PR. If an agent claims to do it in 1 month, don’t fall for the trap.
- Do things patiently, all at once and avoid unnecessary repetitions.
- Be ready to spend around 3600 AUD (Visa fee) + 500 AUD (Skill assessment) + IELTS fee (330 AUD per attempt). You may need to give IELTS twice, or can chose PTE exam. If you appear for exam in India, fee is less and is approximately 10K Rupees and the chances of getting score is more (if you think otherwise, please don’t debate, what I am writing is my personal observation based on discussions with other applicants and may not be 100% true for all the cases).
WHAT ALL DO YOU NEED:
You need just a few things, very
few things:
- ACS (Australian Computer Society) assessment of your skills and educational degree. You need your skills assessed and for that you need certain documents prepared in a certain manner. Documents are: Your degree (true copy of original), Your experience letters, can be from your latest organization and your first organization (true copy of original), Passport (true copy of original)
What is True copy of original: Go to the nearest notary in your town
with original documents and a Xerox copy and get his stamp on your Xerox copy.
He will charge between Rs 30 and Rs 100 per document, depending on which city
you are in.
2. IELTS/PTE score. Prepare well for you English exam, if you are
used to English speaking environment in office or at home, it will really help
you. Remember you can’t mug up English and get good marks, improve your basics
then build up on your knowledge and then you can appear for exam.

4. Once you are done with the above 3 steps, half
of your task is done. Now you need to apply for EOI (Expression of Interest).
Don’t get bogged down by name, just visit this link: skillselect.gov.au and
file your EOI.
5. Enter all details correctly. Once you have
submitted, just sit back and relax and wait for ITA (Invite to Apply)
6. Once you get an ITA, you need to submit the
documents, visa fee and you will need to get 2 additional documents: A PCC (Police check certificate) and a MC
(Medical Certificate). When you reach this stage, you will easily find how to
get your PCC and MC. At this stage, a case officer will be assigned to you who
will assess your documents.
7. What are you expecting, nothing else. Just wait
for Visa Grant. Once you get visa grant, look for a ticket and fly to
Australia.
The process above is very simple and I encourage individual
applicants to DIY (Do it yourself), but in case you want me to help you, I will
charge you a fee depending on what all stuff you want me to help with. I have
been helping people and only charge for my effort, sometimes people pay 1/10th
of what agents quoted them. Still, I want to ensure you that I am not here for
money making, but I only charge for my effort, in case you want my help in
personalized way. Drop me an email and you will be surprised to see your work
getting done with no blow to your pocket.
