Cost of living in Sydney (per month) for a single person:
 

  1. Rent: $250 pw. $1000 per month
  2. Mobile phone: $45 (Unlimited calls, texts and 2GB data).
  3. Public transport : $160 per month
  4. Gas & Electricity : $150
  5. Internet : $60
  6. Groceries : $500
 
Other expenses:
  1. Hair cut : $30
  2. Going out/Drink/Food/party : $300
  3. Vehicle Insurance: $90
  4. Vehicle Tax: $60
  5. Tolls/e-tag : $20
  6. Petrol: $60
  7. Clothes/Shopping : $150
 
This is an estimated pricing, you can offcourse spend more/less depending on your lifestyle.

Everyone is free to practice their religion, culture in accordance with Australian laws.
  5. Security and laws are favourable for the residents. Everything is smooth and functions well.
  6. Quality of life is awesome, things are affordable and latest. Rents are at par with salaries paid.
  7. Climate is awesome, it is sunny, bright, mild summers, mild winters, springs, monsoons. Sometimes you see all the climates in a single day.
  8. Work-life balance is just perfect. People are professionals at work and laid back after work. There are plenty of outdoor activities, parks, recreational facilities to keep everyone fit.
  9. Infrastructure, public transportation – road, rail, marine is developed and follows a time schedule. There are separate lanes for cyclists at majority of roads in city.
  10. All other reasons to not move are not enough to not move to Australia. Awesome place, best place – AUSTRALIA.

Once you are in Australia, all the processes will look new. The world will look so different, what do you do there? You may want to apply for landing services to assist you in Australia

As I am based in Sydney, for those arriving in Sydney, I can help you with the following:

  Ø  Get yourself registered with Centrelink for medical coverage
  Ø  Get a Tax File No. for yourself (that is mandatory to have in Australia)
  Ø  Get a local Australian Sim card and register it, with best plans for calling your home country.
  Ø  Open a bank account in Australia.
  Ø  Look for a house (a lengthy process but easy to manage): Tips on house searching process, preferred areas, rent suitability etc.
  Ø  Look for a job: Tips for applying for jobs in your area.
  Ø  Home Gas, Electricity, Water, Internet connection: Get tips on the below
  Ø  Travel card for public transportation: Get a $10 travel card to start traveling and all details about using public transportation system in Australia.
  Ø  Find an initial accommodation (paid) in shared house.
  Ø  Arrange taxi to pick you up from airport when you land in Sydney.
